FITS online courses
The FITS training courses were initially offered as classroom based courses delivered by one of our training partners throughout the UK and Internationally. These courses have been running now for almost twelve months and have been very successful.
Starting in January 2011 in response to many requests from our potential customers, we are trialing an online version of the Practitioner course which we are running in partnership with Vital and The Open University. Read more ….
FITS classroom based courses
The FITS Introduction course is a one day seminar style course that can be undertaken on your own premises, with one of our training partners or at our central training location. The FITS Introduction course covers the core principles of service management including: Service Desk, Incident & Problem Management, Change Management and SecurityManagement. Course candidates are provided with supporting courseware. In the FITS Introduction course we provide your ICT support staff with an introduction to good service management – the FITS way. It is important that all of your customer support services staff have an appreciation of what constitutes good service management and how FITS achieves it. This should include not just the customer facing technical staff but all of your administration staff as well. This will ensure that everyone in your organisation is working to the same standard, using the same processes. There is no examination for the FITS Introduction course but all delegates receive a certificate of completion. The cost of this course is £200 +VAT.
In addition, FITS classroom based training is currently being offered at two levels, both of which also include an internationally recognised qualification.
The FITS Practitioner course is the Level 4 certificate in ICT Support in Education: Practitioner. This course consists of one and a half days of classroom work, individual and syndicate exercises followed by a course refresher session and the examination. The examination, which is taken online, comprises 40 multiple choice questions selected randomly from a large question bank. The candidate has 90 minutes to complete the examination following which they are notified immediately whether they have passed or failed. Candidates are able to review any questions that they failed on although they are naturally not notified of the correct answer. The pass mark for this examination is 60%. The cost of this course which includes a course reference manual, courseware, exercise material and the entrance fee for the examination is £510.00 +VAT.
