Revolutionising Technical Support in Schools
The FITS Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that is dedicated to improving the quality of technical support in schools and other educational establishments through training and accreditation.
This in turn results in a better return on investment in ICT, increased teacher confidence and a positive impact on teaching and learning experiences.
Originally developed within Becta, FITS is a service management and delivery framework developed specifically for the education sector and now managed by The FITS Foundation.
Implementation of FITS provides a structured approach to ICT support in education which delivers real benefits to the School, Teachers and Pupils. Implementing FITS has been shown to reduce ICT support costs by as much as 25%, achieve user satisfaction index of 92%, free up technician time to provide hands-on assistance to staff and pupils and reduce classroom disruption by 25%.
Initially funded through Becta, The FITS Foundation is now inviting sponsorship to continue with its program of driving up standards of ICT support in schools and continued development of FITS and new training and support services.
